Project Goal
To elevate Sam’s Sweet Chili Sauce Co. with a bold, cohesive brand identity and packaging system that captures the product’s handcrafted origins and unique flavor story. This project focuses on redesigning the logo to reflect the brand’s personality—rooted in tradition yet edgy and modern—while developing custom illustrated labels for each product in the chili sauce lineup. The goal is to create a strong shelf presence, improve brand recognition, and align the packaging with the founder’s vision of a rebellious, premium sauce born in Thailand and made in Britain using 100% locally farmed ingredients.

Design Decisions
For Sam’s Sweet Chili Sauce Co., I led a full brand refresh centered around a bold, illustrated identity. I redesigned the logo into a hand-drawn badge featuring a skeleton mascot that captures the brand’s British roots and rebellious energy. Each label was custom illustrated to showcase flavor distinctions through a bold color system, detailed iconography, and strong typographic hierarchy. The packaging balances playful grit with premium quality, tying in storytelling elements like “Born in Thailand, Made in Britain” and “100% British Farmed Ingredients” to highlight the sauce’s origin and craftsmanship.
